What to Expect from the Suites at Brand New CR7 Hotel – The opening marks the ‘kick off’ of the partnership between Dionísio Pestana and Cristiano Ronaldo – who both hail from Madeira.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Pestana Hotel Group opened the first CR7 hotel on July in Funchal, Madeira Island.
Legendary Soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has invested more than $40 million into a range of hotels in Madeira, Lisbon, Madrid and New York called CR7 after his successful underwear, footwear and fragrance companies.
The joint venture, which is co-owned by both Ronaldo and Pestana Hotels, will be managed by The Pestana Hotel Group and will be located in four spectacular destinations; Lisbon (in the Historic Downtown), Madrid (on the Gran Vía) Madeira Funchal (fronting the Cruise Harbor) and New York (steps from Times Square).
Inspired by Ronaldo’s CR7 brand, the boutique hotel in Madeira combines Art Deco with contemporary style and is designed with the modern day millennial traveller in mind, allowing them to stay connected to the world throughout their stay. High-speed Wi-Fi will be available in all indoor and outdoor spaces and each room will include Apple TV as well as Bluetooth audio and HDMI connections.

Pestana CR7 Funchal will feature just 49 keys with 25 CR type rooms, 23 CR superior rooms and one CR7 Suite. In addition to all the facilities of the CR rooms, the CR7 Suite will include a Playstation 4, Virtual Reality Glasses and games, and even equipment for cardio workouts complete with a self-developed workout plan.

The huge hotel management experience of the Pestana Group guarantees the quality of this product that we are developing together”, adds Cristiano Ronaldo. “It has been a huge challenge for me to enter a new area in which I always had an interest and curiosity. I cannot wait to go to sleep in my Suite at Pestana CR7 Funchal in my hometown!”
